We are already together for a substantial time, what of course resulted in a marriage. As destination for our honymoon we chose Cyprus with a short cruise to Egypt. On this foto rapportage you can enjoy it also.
Almost from the beginning, Petra joined Gert-Jan in his practicing of taiji. As practicioners of this sport we traveled around the world a bit, this includes Hongary, Italy, China and Japan.
One of our prefered methods of taking a vacation is walking/hiking. We have walked a part of the GR 5 in france. Scotland also lures us into walking. Of our hiking trip along the West highland way we took a lot of beautiful pictures.We also have picture of our other vacations
As of march 2002 Petra is pregnant of Deirdre and we are very happy with that. Deirdre is born on the 25th of december 2002 and is now growing up into a beautiful daughter. Februari 2004: Pregnant of Ewan.Ewan is born on the 26th of november 2004.

Another sport Petra and Gert-Jan enjoy is Ballroom-Dancing, this ofcourse also give's a lot of foto's
Gert-Jan is a real fan of "Jean Michel Jarre", so much his first homepage is dedicated to Jarre. At this moment Gert-Jan is working "very hard.." on a new version of the search engine for the homepage.
One of the other things we lose a lot of time in are computers and books. With books I mean Science-fiction & Fantasy books, preferably in English unless the origin language of the book is Dutch.
The time we spend on computers is diverse:
- Try to get our Cobalt Qube2 work as good as possible, using the latest Linux 2.4.x running with debian. Until now our Cobalt is using kernel 2.4.19-rc1.
- Get software to work the way we want like delegate ( Although the patch i made is a small one... )
- In the time of DOS software I (Gert-Jan) wrote a DOS version of timidity. This is a midi player, which only needs a basic soundblaster but sounds like a soundcard with wave-table. My old version is still downloadable at : this link.
- Started my own Blog.
- Design a php class to easily create ajax enabled mysql web interfaces named Yawic.
